A wet outdoor wedding is not what most couples envision for their big day, but in the case of this featured rainy, fall wedding at Snohomish’s Lookout Lodge, the downpour was the finishing touch. Coupled with rich autumn colors, tall, misty evergreens, and towering mountain views, its setting highlighted much of the beauty Snohomish is known for.
Spirits were high as the rain came, and according to photographer GSquared Weddings, "...it even made the first dance feel so much more romantic." Complimenting this wedding’s fall vibe was the hearty, rustic menu from Alexa’s Café & Catering, followed by a mini dessert bar by Flour & Girl. Check out those oh-so-cute apple pie pops! Rentals and décor from Sweet Lady Buffet used burgundy touches for a color scheme that really popped. Bridesmaids also wore burgundy while the men in the wedding party wore gray-a less formal option than black, echoing the relaxed sentiment of Snohomish.
Did you know that according to old wives tales, a rainy-day wedding is symbolic for good luck? Judging from how well all the details meshed together, there may be truth to this superstition.
Umbrellas and all, it was Pacific Northwest-perfect.
