Real Snohomish Wedding: An Intimate, Serene Wedding at Green Gates at Flowing Lake

Located on five acres of private, lush gardens overlooking the lake, it’s hard to find something not to love about Green Gates at Flowing Lake. This week, we’re taking a peek at an intimate, serene wedding at this former equestrian estate. Please read on for more wedding inspiration!
New transplants to the PNW from Indianapolis, Bisi and Mike kept their ceremony and reception intimate with only a handful of family and friends. Although their guest list was on the smaller side, it was definitely big on emotion—from the guests, yes, but also from the couple themselves. Walking down the aisle, tears softly cascaded down Bisi’s cheeks. Meanwhile, Mike stood at the altar, a smile lit on his face upon seeing her. Their photos reflect the deep, heartfelt love they have for one another. Don’t they look so happy?
Bisi looked radiant in a sleeveless, v-back gown, neutral makeup by Bethany Yackel Beauty, and hair in soft waves, neatly pinned to one side. Her bridal bouquet, crafted by Flora D’ Amore, featured notes of ivory and charcoal, accented by sage-colored foliage. The ceremony was followed by a buffet-style reception, catered by Alexa’s Café. Desserts, including Snohomish Pie Company’s famous pies, delighted the crowd. Rounding out the night, Sounds Unlimited played a mixture of American and African music, drawing excitement from their guests.
