Real Snohomish Wedding: A Rainy Adventure at Olympic View Estates

An adventurous PNW wedding at Olympic View Estates, a wedding venue in Snohomish near Seattle, WA. | Snohomish Wedding Planning | My Snohomish Wedding

If you’re familiar with Snohomish, you’ve likely seen people diving headlong through the sky on clear days. This week’s love story begins as such, with someone plummeting from a plane, only to receive an extra adrenaline rush once both feet were planted on the ground! Be sure to read on about this adventurous proposal and subsequent wedding at one of our gorgeous venues, Olympic View Estates!

Skydiving had always appealed to Bailey’s bold spirit. Knowing this, her boyfriend, Tyler, gifted her a skydiving session one year. The day of her dive came, and as Bailey boarded the aircraft she would hurdle towards the Snohomish River Valley from, Tyler had an extra surprise waiting for her on the ground. Surrounded by family and friends, he waited for Bailey with a printed banner stating “Will you marry me?” and a beautiful engagement ring in-hand. She happily accepted. What an adrenaline-filled day it must have been!

Fast forward a bit to their wedding, and it very much reflected their adventurous, outdoorsy style. Avid explorers, Olympic View Estates provided mountain and valley views of places they had backpacked. It’s also the same valley she had skydived over.

Olympic View Estates is a picturesque outdoor venue with semi-indoor spaces. Being that PNW weather can be unpredictable, the shelter came in handy—a huge rainstorm struck right after they shared their vows. Hey, rainfall during a wedding is considered good luck, right?
