Real Snohomish Wedding: Backyard Forest Vibes at Woodland Meadow Farms
With all these blustery storms, is anyone yearning for flip-flop weather yet? We just might be! This week, we thought it’d be fun to reminisce about warmer days and revisit a wedding at Woodland Meadow Farms. With a forest-y backyard feel, this wedding features all the feel-good things we love about summer, minus the sunburn. Read on for more, and be sure to check out the very sweet way this bride honored her mother and grandmother throughout her wedding day!
About Woodland Meadow Farms
On any warm summer night, Woodland Meadow Farms casts a laid-back, woodsy vibe. Originally a tree farm, it also became a wedding venue in 2010. Nestled among towering pines, it almost feels like a friend’s sprawling backyard, gently glowing in the forest. Once you leave it, however, rolling fields and farmland surround you again, and you quickly realize that you’re indeed in Snohomish.
Available June-September, it offers convenient amenities-like two separate getting-ready rooms, a fire pit perfect for cocktail hour, and a gorgeous reception tent, outfitted with chandeliers. Woodland Meadow Farms can accommodate up to 250 guests.
The couple chose hues of bright, cheery lavender and incorporated it throughout their wedding-in the floral arrangements by member Mi Fiori, throughout the reception area styled by Prudence & Sage, and in the bridesmaids’ halter-style dresses. The bride herself wore a perfectly tailored, sheath-silhouette lace gown.
Under her gown, the bride also wore a delicate antique garter with a tiny pocket sewn in. Found in the pocket was a sentimental nod to the matriarchs of her family-three pennies minted in 1952, 1983, and 2018. These were the years that her grandmother, her mother-and now she-were married. Such a sweet gesture that we absolutely fell in love with!
The wedding ceremony was held at a rustic wood altar, framed by large pine trees. Loved ones looked on from a few steps below. After the ceremony, guests filled the white reception tent and enjoyed dinner, provided by member Twelve Baskets. Lastly, the night was topped off with dancing and much celebration!
