The day was clear and crisp, the kind of weather hoped for when planning an outdoor wedding. With endless fields as a backdrop, loved ones gathered on the lawn in neat rows of white chairs. Just beyond them, the bride and groom clasped hands at the altar, beaming. Throughout the day, they could often be found holding hands, or embracing, or kissing.

About Craven Farm

Already established as the region’s first pumpkin patch, Craven Farm opened their doors to weddings in 1999. Set in a quiet corner of Snohomish, its rural beauty is equal parts peaceful and breathtaking. Featuring a rustic reception barn, two getting ready rooms, and a prep kitchen facility, its expansive lawns and gardens offer numerous places to hold an outdoor wedding. Craven Farm can accommodate up to 300 guests. They even have a rainy-day back up, reassuring for anyone planning a wedding around our unpredictable PNW weather!

Wedding Highlights

The love this couple has for each other was so obvious to everyone in attendance! Upon the first look, they tenderly embraced, and the groom joyfully spun his bride around for a better look. Afterwards, it seems they either held hands, continued to embrace, or shared a sweet kiss at each opportunity.

The bride looked beautiful in a softly flowing, sleeveless wedding dress accented with a delicately-beaded bodice. Rows of white chairs dotted the ceremony area, lined with plum trees and corn fields. Following this, she also slipped into a traditional, embroidered cherry-red silk gown for a private tea ceremony with their families while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. In contrast, the bridesmaids wore varying shades of cool green.

For the reception, guests filed into the rustic barn. Strands of white lights dangled from the beams while paper lanterns glowed from the ceiling. The tables were crisply lined in white. Mix-matched China plates were used to serve the colorful spread provided by member Twelve Baskets, and then the couple finished dinner with a fun donut bar and dancing. After all, those donuts have to be worked off somehow, right?
