Every other second Tuesday of the month, the Snohomish Wedding Guild meets at one of our many member venues for dinner and good times with fellow like-minded wedding professionals. During these meetings, we learn from one another, we share a few laughs, and we also do the important work of fostering a strong Snohomish wedding community. This month, our meeting was held at the beautiful Feather Ballroom, one of the few remaining ballrooms on the west coast. Over 90 members were in attendance. How do these meetings-and the Snohomish Wedding Guild as a whole-result in a better wedding experience for the couples who hire us? Be sure to read on and find out!
There’s nothing like surrounding yourself with like-minded people and finding a community to call home. Naturally, we desire to be in the company of others we’re comfortable with, and this is true for the wedding industry as well. One of the benefits of hiring Snohomish Wedding Guild vendors is that our community offers a platform, such as our meetings, for members to get to know one another. This way, when our members do serve together at weddings, there’s a good chance a sense of comradery has already been established. When executing your wedding vision, it’s easier to form a cohesive team when we’re working with others we already know and trust.
Additionally, the members of our Snohomish Wedding Guild have a comprehensive list of wedding professionals conveniently at our fingertips. Being familiar with one another, we can confidently give recommendations for other members. Looking for a florist or videographer? No problem. Have a vendor cancellation, or discover a last-minute need? These surprises aren’t fun, but don’t panic. Our members know who to locally call for help.
Lastly, because of the breadth of knowledge within the Snohomish Wedding Guild, our community offers a value, unique opportunity for each member to learn from-and we are constantly learning. During our meetings, it’s incredibly insightful to take a step back and watch our members in action. Having eavesdropped on many conversations, our members are always collaborating, bouncing off ideas, and giving suggestions to each other. Our community is deeply dedicated to our craft, and we serve our couples with pride.
In closing, Snohomish Wedding Guild members offer a smoother wedding experience in a multitude of ways. Here’s a fun inside peek into our January member meeting. We thank you for the opportunity to serve you!
Notes about January’s member meeting location, The Feather Ballroom
The Feather Ballroom is one of the last remaining ballrooms on the west coast. Stunning original features include the ornate, embossed ceiling-showcasing lovely period-matched chandeliers-ornate woodwork and of course, the gorgeous, hardwood dance floor. Thoughtful, modern updates include air-conditioning, a wheelchair lift, a large catering kitchen, a separate bride’s room, expanded ladies’ lounge, professional sound system, huge drop-down projection screen, up-lighting, and a fully equipped service bar-whew! The upscale, comfortable furnishings compliment the historic nature of the building and add a unique feature not often found in affordable venues. With banquet seating for up to 300 guests, this stunning space offers endless options for most any sized wedding or event.
