If weddings are a celebration, why not keep it light-hearted and have a little fun? That was the sentiment behind this week’s featured wedding at the Red Barn at Stocker Farms in Snohomish. Filled with entertaining features, nothing quite spells fun like bouncing on a huge, in-ground pillow with your spouse and closest friends!
About The Red Barn at Stocker Farms
Nestled in the Snohomish River Valley and just off Highway 9 sits the Red Barn at Stocker’s Farms in Snohomish. This classically rustic barn offers beautiful wood floors, breathtaking, high-vaulted ceilings, and ample space for a reception area and dance floor. The outdoor ceremony area consists of a wooden archway and real wood pews, and charming features—like an ornamental antique tractor, a wooden wagon wheel, and a water tower--adorn the well-kept gardens and open fields. Many details, like a huge, in-ground pillow, similar to a trampoline, gives this venue a playful touch. You’ll have to look at the pictures to see what we mean!
All surrounded by gorgeous views of the Cascade Mountains, it’s a great option for a wedding venue that’s near Seattle and minutes from historic downtown Snohomish.
The Wedding Details
The ceremony took place outdoors with the Red Barn sitting picturesquely behind rows of guests seated on rustic wooden pews. Yellow sunflowers from Petal & the Stem offered a bright, cheery note in the bridesmaids’ hair, the lapels of the groom and groomsmen, and in the bridal bouquet. The bride wore a strapless wedding dress with soft ruffles, and she and the bridesmaids alike completed their attire with matching brown cowgirl boots. Chaplain Dave officiated the ceremony. Afterwards, everyone filed into the Red Barn for the reception and a night of dancing to the tunes of DA Productions.
